Common questions
How do I sign in? What is guest mode?
When you first open the app, choose Sign in with Apple or Just try it (guest mode). In guest mode, what you ask for and your conversations are sent to our servers for processing in the same way, identified by a device identifier; sign in with Apple to get them back on other devices. You can sign in later under top-right menu → Settings → Account, and data on this phone is merged into your account.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: top-right menu → Settings → Account → Delete account and all data. Normally the data on your phone and our servers (including your name, profile photo and Places) is deleted and cannot be restored. If you have signed in on both the mainland China and the international server and this phone still holds the sign-in for both, both are deleted. If the server can't be reached, you can choose Delete only what's on this phone; the data on the server can be deleted after you sign in again.
How do reminders on arrival or departure work?
Just say something like “remind me to hand in my expenses when I get to work”; you can set Home and Work first under My profile → Places. In iPhone Settings, allow MyDay to use your location While Using the App and turn on Precise Location. Your iPhone itself decides when you arrive or leave, and the app does not record your location in the background. These reminders are not yet available for places in mainland China; use a time-based reminder there instead.
Mainland China or international server?
The region is picked automatically (mainland China users use servers in mainland China; others use the international server in Japan) and can be changed under top-right menu → Settings → Server region. Data is not shared between them.
A reminder did not go off?
In iPhone Settings → Notifications → MyDay, allow notifications, and check that a Focus mode is not silencing them. In the app, check top-right menu → Settings → Permissions.
